The Korean Zombie, Chan Sung Jung, looks to claim a third straight opening-round victory when he battles fellow featherweight Brian Ortega on Saturday at UFC Fight Island 6 as a -200 betting favourite on the UFC odds at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com.

Jung recorded an impressive first-round TKO win over Frankie Edgar in his last outing at UFC Fight Night 165 to improve his professional MMA record to 16-5 going into Saturday night’s matchup at Fight Island in Abu Dhabi.

The 33-year-old has turned in impressive results since returning to the octagon in 2017 after a four-year layoff. Jung has claimed victory in three of four outings, with the lone blemish on his record during that stretch coming by fifth-round KO at the hands of Yair Rodriguez at UFC Fight Night 139. Jung’s past three victories have all come inside five minutes, earning him Performance of the Night bonuses in each of those contests.

Ortega returns to action as a +160 underdog at sports betting sites in the wake of a failed bid for the UFC featherweight title almost two years ago. “T-City” suffered his first career loss to Max Holloway by fourth-round TKO while sporting -125 odds, dropping his pro MMA record to 14-1 with one no contest.

However, like Jung, Ortega is a proven finisher. Each of Ortega’s six victories since joining the UFC have come inside three rounds, a run capped by a first-round KO win over Edgar at UFC 222 that paid out on +130 odds. And like Jung, Ortega has a strong reputation as a tap-out specialist, with these two fighters combining to win 15 total fights by submission.

Saturday night’s co-main event features a clash of women’s flyweights, as Jessica Andrade takes on Katlyn Chookagian as -155 chalk. Andrade returns to the women’s flyweight division after dropping a split decision in her rematch with Rose Namajunas at UFC 251 as a +175 bet. The 29-year-old Brazilian claimed the UFC women’s strawweight title with a second-round KO win over Namajunas at UFC 237, but proved to be no match for Zhang Weili in her first title defence, falling by TKO just 42 seconds into their date at UFC Fight Night 157.

Pegged as a +125 underdog on the UFC odds for Saturday night, Chookagian recorded a unanimous decision win over Antonina Shevchenko last time out at UFC Vegas, and has seen all but one of her 10 fights in the UFC settled by the judges.

Elsewhere on the UFC Fight Island 6 odds, heavyweight Jimmy Crute battles Modestas Bukauskas as a -325 betting favourite, while Thomas Almeida takes on fellow featherweight Jonathan Martinez sporting -140 odds.
